22035953400_ffbaef15c3_zSwannanoa is an Italian Renaissance Revival villa built in 1912 by millionaire and philanthropist James H. Dooley above Rockfish Gap on the border of northern Nelson County and Augusta County, Virginia.
The Villa is open to public during spring to visit interiors and local photographers find this an excellent place for pictures, video productions and events.

The best time of the year to shoot at this location are Spring and Autumn, Summer looks fantastic but Spring and Summer are special for the color blend and clear blue sky.
I usually carry strobes with me to  shoot outdoors and a power pack.
